The SHIB market continued to fluctuate when a whale spent a large amount of money to “collect”.
A new Shiba Inu whale has appeared, buying 4.59 trillion SHIB at once, the value of the tokens is a whopping 48 million USD. Bulk purchase of SHIB takes place in a single transaction.
At the moment, it is not clear whether this wallet belongs to an individual, a group of investors or an institution. We only know that this is the “25th largest SHIB wallet” in the world.
The whales’ move to buy such bulk SHIBs may be related to rumors about the launch of a layer2 solution Shibarium this week.
On X (formerly Twitter), many have speculated that the Shiba Inu development team will launch Shibarium right at the Futurist Blockchain Conference. The conference will be held in Toronto, Canada, on August 15 and 16.
Some sources believe that Shiba Inu wants to use this event to launch Shibarium to the public.
Rumors of the launch of Shibarium have helped the price of SHIB increase sharply in the past few days. Over the past 30 days, the SHIB price has increased by 26.9%, currently trading at $0.00001057.
SHIB’s price rally was also fueled by news that SHIB’s top developer, Shytoshi Kusama, said that he would unveil some new utility for SHIB’s “child token”, LEASH.
According to a chat message on Discord, Kusama will reveal some “exclusive” news to the SHIB community on Tuesday (August 15). And Kusama also said some information about the new utility for LEASH will be announced on August 16.
