The government of El Salvador has extended a warm welcome to visitors wishing to donate Bitcoin to support government development initiatives.

Donating Bitcoin Can Help Foreigners Obtain Citizenship in El Salvador

According to a recent revelation, there is no minimum Bitcoin gift required by law in order to receive expedited citizenship access.

As of the time of writing, $42,861 is the price of Bitcoin.

This comes, however, when BeInCrypto revealed that El Salvador has moved one step closer to issuing its bonds denominated in Bitcoin cryptocurrency.

But now that the investment vehicle has received regulatory approval, bond issuance can proceed.

Additionally, the Volcano Bond has regulatory approval from the Digital Assets Commission (CNAD), according to a statement made on December 12 by El Salvador’s National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC).

The adoption of Bitcoin by El Salvador has generated discussion within the cryptocurrency community. Furthermore, about 70% of El Salvador’s population does not have access to a bank account, according to a BeInCrypto analysis from earlier this year.

It was mentioned that the adoption of Bitcoin aimed to help those without access to banking services and fight poverty.
